I suppose those unable to communicate effectively with words resort to trite gimmicks like this.

The group on the video did not post their communication here; that was Steven Uncles who has nothing of any consequence to say!

Do try to keep up!

You are flooding us with trite vidoes here, and this forum seems much more tolerant in consequence than that of the EDP where heavy censorship is practised.

Sorry I was not trying to get involved in your spat, but it is the title of the tread. Do you know anything about the group - music is a very powerful medium through which to influence people - think of the impact of one Mr B Dylan!

It is not a personal spat, although "ENGLISH DEMOCRAT" (ha! ha!)/Kentishman seeks to reduce it to that ~ his level.

The video appears to be an excerp from the film "West Side Story", composer Leonard Bernstein.

An excellent recording of the music was made much later by Bernstein with Kiri Te Kenawa and Jose Carreras, which was issued under the DGG label. In my opinion, the singing in the later recording is to a much higher standard: listen for example to "I've just met a girl called Maria" sung by Carreras!

It has changed from the original! The one I first saw was a folk group.

Sorry we were both confused - the one I am interested in is top of page 1, not 2.

No probs!

The group is called, somewhat confusingly, "Show of Hands", and the song they perform is called "Roots!"

Any number of folk on the COSG Forum will tell you the title of the CD which includes this particular sing!
