Here is a prediction: unless the UK takes serious action soon, within 10 years there will be major Chinese and Indian owned financial services groups doing business in the UK. If that prediction comes true, what employment prospects are then left here?

A small point on the former motor industry. Stand near the gates of the VW, Citroen, Renault works at clocking off time and you will see 80-90% of the workers leave in the cars they have made. No way could they be seen at Rover Longbridge. If the workers wont buy the cars they make why should anyone else. Have pride in your product or you don't deserve to have a job making it.
