Default The English Democrats & their anti-EU views

Noticing a rather silly post saying that our Vice-Chairman Christine Constable was pro-EU, I shared the joke with her and asked whether she wished to respond. Christine is a remarkable woman - intensely patriotic, successful career in business, works incredibly hard for the cause, etc but she still found time to dash off this brief response:

[quote] "I can't abide the EU and apart from that even if I was an EU luvvie, that would be irrelevant in party terms as I would only be one voice and that would be impossible (on its own) to sway party policy.

I can categorically assure anyone who wants to listen I despise the EU have spent the last 5 years campaigning against the break up of England which is driven by the EU, have stood on a platform in the 2004 Euro Elections (and paid a significant amount of money) to get the 14 million messages out that we want out of the EU, and have gone to America and had published articles to the same effect.

The guy is clearly a looney tune and if I was pro the EU I would be in the Conservatives where the Europhiles live and would not be in the EDP!

Where do they get this drivel from?"[end of quote]

I think the forum member who posted the false allegation might have the grace to apologise for his slanderous comments. In my book - and I guess in the opinions of most members of this forum - accusing someone of being pro-EU is a very serious matter.

Default Christine, EU, quote bank

Well done Christine . Nothing like someone who says quite clearly what a revolting organisation the EU is.

Christine's welcome comments have been entered into my quote bank.

Yes, it's not something I would want to be accused of - under any circumstances.
