Default Approved list of candidates....

I was looking into how to become a PPC.
I tried looking at the UKIP website for help, but as you can all imagine, I got no help at all.
All the staff from the office are not working until tuesday.

I read however that in order to apply to be a candidate for a constituency you have to be on the ' list of approved candidates '. Can someone explain what this is, and how I go about getting on it? If such a thing is required.

I read it in the following statement:

' In other constituencies the process is continuing, and people on the approved list of candidates wishing to be considered for vacant constituencies are requested to apply to the regional organiser:'

Thanks,

I found it all very straight forward although I must admit you need to be able to navigate through the screens.

go to ukip.org (homepage)

click through to members section

from list of options select "parliamentary candidate selection" (3 from bottom of list)

from list of options select "selection procedures" (2nd from the top)

you can then download selection procedure and Application form.

The completed form needs to be returned to your Regional Office but without knowing where you live I can't tel you where that is. However I'll guess North West.

go to ukip.org

on home page is Main Menu

select "Contact UKIP"

This brings up a list of Regional Contacts

Click on region of your choice (for example "North West")

West Midlands then brings up list of 6 contact points, the top one of which is the Regional Office

Click on the regional office and you get an address, telephone number, fax number, website, name of Regional Organiser and his team plus a quick contact e-mail form.

ah, I see.

I'm always on the main site.
But I didn't see the selection procedures link.
As it was in with all the Regional Links.

Many thanks.
