I fail to see a problem (other than it may let Red Ken back in) with citizens of the EU being entitled to vote in the London mayoral elections.

The law is clear. People from the EU have a right of abode in any EU member state on a quid pro quo basis with ourselves.

Whilst resident they pay taxes to the member state and are therefore entitled to representation especially as we are all citizens of the EU.

What problem there is lies with Commonwealth citizens resident in the EU being permitted to vote as there is no universal quid pro quo arrangement with commonwealth countries, nor are such people citizens of the EU.
