Well said kentishman !
Yes we should all be grilling them to explain their actions. And if we occupy their time, they will take our voice more seriously and be forced to take action whether they are willing to agree or not (if only to avoid having to deal with people which is inefficient and time consuming for them) So the more people make their feelings know the better.

The main battle is between Boris and Ken.
Why should they take UKIP seriously when they have debates on if they will be in fourth or fifth place!

Well, my latest complaint about the BBC is I can't get into the local election site anymore. I found it once, forgot to make a note, and I am at a loss to know where to go.
You'd think they would stick a link on the front page! |

The more publicity you get, the more votes you get. By giving preferential coverage to some candidates, the BBC is effectively rigging the election. It is not up to them to decide who the "main" candidates are, it is up to the electorate.
It is like holding a race, deciding who the favourites are, and giving them a head start. I thought that the BBC as a publicly funded 'public service' broadcaster was supposed to be impartial. If the BBC believes that the public see the election as a Boris v Ken contest, and so have biased their coverage for that reason, then why have they given Brian Paddick extra coverage? The BBC coverage contrasts sharply with the coverage given in the local press to candidates at general elections. They get equal coverage. (Is it a legal requirement? If so, the same should apply to the BBC). |

I wrote to them and after two days got a longish answer that was not a run of the mill thingy, the letter went through the points I had made regards biased, undemocratic bbc and finished off saying the letter was logged onto their internal daily sheet for circulation to all executive producers and such.I felt like I had been listened to and that they were informing their higherarchy of my concerns.

Thank you for your advice. My history thing is a bit skew-wiff at the moment. But I found a way to get into the "Local Election" site. Can't think why they don't put it on the front page.
