You have to register the party name, otherwise you can only say independent. I think is costs £150 to register a party name.
You should really have a reason for starting a new party because there are already lots and lots and lots of political parties. The only really good reason is if none of the current parties stand for what you believe in.
What policies do you want that none of the current parties can offer you ?
If you make a list of what you want, I will hunt through the minor parties for you, and I am sure there would already be a party to suite you whether you be racist, communist, socialist, fascist, nationalist, internationalist, pro-EU, anti-EU, green, left wing, right wing, Liberal, Labour, Conservative, hard line, political moderate or social democrat.
Please make a list of what you want your party to stand for, which is what you would need to do anyway if you wanted to start a new party.

Its a long hard slog starting a political party. For example UKIP was started in 1993. That is 18 years ago. UKIP has yet to get its first MP in the British parliament.
So if you start a new political party it may well take you 20 years or more to get your first MP. But UKIP supporters had no choice at that time because all the existing major political parties were very pro-EU. There was no alternative for Anti-EU Patriots but start a new political party and campaign for a sovereign British parliament.
