    First post,

let me just say lankou, you like to argue some really pointless points don't you?

let us look at the OP's intention, his intention was to convey a message, through using the world ''dole'' he was able to do so effectively, through effective usage of words we all understood what he meant. No word was misused because the whole point is to convey a message which we understand, that is the art of conversation.

Misusing a word would be when you use the ''proper'' usage of the word ONLY for the sake of using it ''properly'' but consequently have people not understand what you mean, your inability to convey the message, whether you are speaking in specifics or colloquialisms or not, is misusing words, because then they have no meaning.

No immigrant should get any other benefit whilst here. They come looking for work, if there is none then they should go home. I see no problem with allowing students limited work to fund their stay here since they directly support the economy via fees, but certainly no access to benefits.

I'm not anti-immigration but want managed and beneficial immigration...
Yes, thank you for your post!

OK if they need help, I get that, but should we provide for them? I don't think so.

Benefits bill already exceeds tax income, if you come here and do NOTHING you should NOT be allowed income benefits.

Benefits like that should only be available to the country's citizens.

As you say ''beneficial immigration''. From a financial point of view, it's not beneficial to be paying out in benefits to foreigners who are not working here and are not contributing to society.

If somebody came to your flat or house tonight and asked if they could stay, but they wouldn't get a job or pay you anything would you say yes?

It's not a point of being racist or even slightly negative to people of a different race, it's just the fact that as a country, it is screwing us over and it's not beneficial for our economy.

I think immigration should be reallllly tight, you should only be able to come in if you are going to give to the society, after all that's how it works, if everything is taken and none put back on, that's not sustainable or progressive.
