Default No praise from Mrs. Gwyneth Dunwoody MP for Labour Deputy Leader Harman

Harriet Harman MP, Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, said of The Late Mrs. Gwyneth Dunwoody (according to Lasting Tribute website on 27.4.2008) (Quote) “An outstanding politician and a champion in the fight for social justice". She added: "She was a strong parliamentarian and a committed campaigner who was admired and feared in equal measure. I will sorely miss her. We shall not see her like again." (End of quote)

However, when europhile Harman made her comments she may not have been aware that eurosceptic Gwyneth appeared to have a less enthusiastic view of her:

According to political editor Andrew Pierce in the Daily Telegraph of 19.4.2008 Mrs. Gwyneth Dunwoody allegedly said of Harman "She is one of those women who were of the opinion that they had a God-given right to be amongst the chosen."

Gwyneth (77 at the time of her said passing last month) opposed political correctness and all-women shortlists. The Daily Telegraph of 19.4.2008 said that she “barely concealed her attempt” for many of the younger generation of women MPs.

The Late Mrs. Gwyneth Dunwoody MP will be greatly missed.

Yes as i suspected the late Mrs Dunwoody would have no truck with the likes of her.

These people like the ghastly Harman who promote things such as all women shortlists should look up to Mrs Dunwoody and her like, they got where they were because they were principled and competant, the fact that they were women was not important.

Default Labour Gwyneth, Deputy Leader, Harman

It is a sad day for the Labour Party that eurosceptic and political heavyweight The Late Mrs. Gwyneth Dunwoody MP never became its Deputy Leader but Harman did.
