    Default Crewe and Nantwich By-Election

The candidates are coming in. This wikipedia link is worth looking at on a regular basis.

I can't find anything from Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council, but they should be putting the timetable online.

The Tories will need to win this seat to be in with a credible chance at the GE.

Default The Late Mrs. Gwyneth Dunwoody MP, Crewe-Nantwich

Andrew Pierce, political editor of the Daily Telegraph said on Nick Ferrari's programme on LBC FM (London independent news radio) at 8.39 am on 7.5.2008 "There are two big icebergs on the horizon for Gordon Brown - the Crewe-Nantwich By-Election (22.5.2008) and the 42 days' detention vote."

Labour have been clever in putting up the daughter of The Late Mrs. Gwyneth Dunwoody MP as their candidate in the constituency of Crewe-Nantwich (held by by Gwyneth Dunwoody until her death last month), Mr. Pierce said. "They have called the Parliamentary By-Election quickly and the Dunwoody name is big and popular in Crewe-Nantwich."

Why is the above message posted on at least 4 different threads? I've wasted my time looking at the same thing over and over again?

Don't lose any sleep over it - "worse things have happened at sea" as they say.

If there were only one thread on this subject (on the subject of The Late Mrs. Dunwoody/Crewe/By-Election) there would have been no need for me to post an item on this subject more than once. I opened the first thread on this (the one in which the sad loss of Mrs. Dunwoody was announced). At least one other person then went on to open another thread on the same thing.

At the moment the threads on the subject of Crewe are mostly listed close together meaning most readers see all the threads. This will soon change as they go into the forum archive.

I have posted certain quotes to most of the Crewe threads to increase the chance they are seen in the future in the forum archive (where people looking in the forum archive may only look at one of the threads which have been opened on this subject).

Because he keeps spamming threads with the same thing.

He did it with the GLA candidates list, again, again and again....

Yes it is a good move to cash in on the Dunwoody brand name, the late Mrs Dunwoody had a huge personal following which cannot be underestimated as a factor in this up coming by election.

Today's opinion poll in the Telegraph giving the Conservatives a lead of over 20% seems to suggest that the Conservatives would win the Crewe-Nantwich constituency Parliamentary By-Election on 22.5.2008 (where the Labour majority at the last General Election was just over 8000). But there may be 'regional' variations in support for the parties - the Cameron-Conservatives are not thought to be doing as well in parts of the North/North-West/North-East of England as they are in other areas.

Hopefully, he'll get the hang of it . . . sooner or later!
