If you are truly anti-EU you will spend your time criticising europhiles.

I hope they come in tenth! Nothing to do with Gwyneth of course, just a smack in the face for the New Labour twisters! They seem more keen on making money (dodgy stuff in the main) than all the people in the 80's ever did. Where's the socialism? It's gone to make way for cynicsm. What a shower! I'm glad I never fell for the New Labour con-trick, just like most on here. In fact, when was the last Blairite/Brownite posting here?

Conservatives, Nantwich, Labour, Crewe, vote, Parliamentary By-Election, railway

The Conservatives will be well ahead in Nantwich (where their vote has been higher than in Crewe for some time). If they move so far ahead of Labour in Nantwich and the villages of the Crewe-Nantwich constituency they could win the Parliamentary By-Election on Thursday of next week even if Labour have a slight lead in the Crewe town area.

Much of the Conservative 4% lead in the latest opinion poll on the Crewe-Nantwich Parliamentary By-Election will be due to an increase in the Conservative vote in Nantwich and the villages of the constituency.

Interesting that this By-Election is taking place in a constituency which a large number of British people must have been to or through at some time - in view of the fact that Crewe is a main railway interchange on the busy Trent Valley West Coast line (Glasgow via Crewe and Birmingham or Glasgow via Crewe and Lichfield to London Euston).

This is a Parliamentary By-Election in a seat most of us have been to.

    Gordon Brown, Labour, Crewe By-Election

"I wouldn't rule out some sort of challenge against Gordon Brown this Summer if things go wrong for Labour at the Crewe By-Election" said Martin Kettle of The Guardian on BBC 2 Television Newsnight at 11.05 pm tonight.

An on-line poll is running on "Crewe's Premier Political Blog". That might actually be Crewe's ONLY Political Blog but apparently the National Press are reading it so it's having its time in the spotlight.

The poll puts UKIP in 6th place so we need some votes to push us ahead of the beauty queen!
