Default What the $%€&* is Con Home doing appointing Joseph Willits?

It’s all gone a deep red colour. Con Home is supposed to stand for traditional Toryism, but just like the UKIP, it has caved in to the all-powerful Marxist dictatorship operating in this country.

Joseph Willits writes for the Guardian and has been made deputy editor of Con Home. I only noticed because I just happened to be reading an article claiming the Tories should be blue feminists ( Baroness Warsi is the most powerful example of Tory feminism The Tory Diary ) and it was promoting Warsi as well. So what is this person? Here is a bit of a summary.

ConHome went pink some time ago Baron. I did tell you this, but you insist that it is still a bastion of real Conservatism. It's not, it's chasing the money and it's sold its soul. It just took you a long time to realise this.

I have only been reading it a for a bit, and the main reason was to see what the Tories think. For this it has been useful and the readers are generally people I agree with. Oh well, another rightwing organisation bits the dust. It's depressing.

Actually you can learn a lot from Con Home. Try this for example.

Dr Matthew Goodwin is a lecturer at the University of Nottingham, whose forthcoming book, The New British Fascism: Rise of the BNP , will be published by Routledge on May 4th. Follow him on Twitter here.

We are only in March and Sayeeda Warsi has already had a tough year. First, in January she attracts criticism after suggesting Islamophobia in Britain has ‘passed the dinner-table test’ (she was promptly branded ‘selfish and wrong’ by Charles Moore). Among a wave of criticism, Moore accused Warsi of using her role to complain about how the public treats her co-religionists, that it ‘is not Tory policy to say these things’, and that ‘she seems to see herself as the trade union leader of British Muslims: she can criticise them but no one else can’. Then, in February, the ConHome survey of party members revealed she has a negative rating, and is on her way to becoming the most unpopular member of the cabinet.

Warsi might be unpopular among the rank and file, but she was both brave and right...
Matthew Goodwin: Why Baroness Warsi was right to highlight the growing problem of anti-Muslim sentiment in modern Britain Comment

They all seem to like Warsi for some reason. She’s probably a Marxist plant. Once they have one Marxist in a high place, all the other try and support her. This is how you can spot a Red.

    So who is Goodwin?

    Biography

Dr Matthew Goodwin obtained his BA (First Class Hons) in Politics and Contemporary History at the University of Salford and MA in Political Science at the University of Western Ontario. He completed his PhD at the Department of European Studies and Modern Languages at the University of Bath, under the supervision of Professors Roger Eatwell and Anna Cento Bull. Before being appointed Lecturer at the University of Nottingham, Dr Goodwin was an ESRC Postdoctoral Research fellow at the University of Manchester and a Temporary Lecturer at the University of Bath.

    Current Research

Matthew is mainly interested in electoral behaviour and understanding what drives support for extremist movements. He is also interested in understanding what drives public attitudes toward things like immigration and minority groups, for example Muslim communities. He also has an interest in party membership and activism, and teaches in the wider field of political behaviour. His research has been published in leading international political science journals, for example the European Journal of Political Research, as well as Political Studies and Environmental Politics. He is the author of the book New British Fascism: Rise of the British National Party (2011, Routledge) and co-edited The New Extremism in 21st Century Britain (2010, Routledge). Further information about his research outputs can be found over at his personal website.
    Past Research

Matthew has consulted, or undertaken research for, numerous organizations. These include but are not limited to:

Home Affairs Committee on the Roots of Violent Radicalization
All Party Parliamentary Group on Anti-Semitism
All Party Parliamentary Group on Islamophobia
Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG)
    Home Office
    Cabinet Office
    Chatham House
    Government Social Research Unit
Government Office for Yorkshire and the Humber/North West
Equalities and Human Rights Commission (EHRC)
    Institute for Community Cohesion (iCoCo)
    North West Improvement Network (NWIN)
    Young Foundation
    ConservativeHome
    Rotherham Partnership
    Burnley Borough Council
    Camden Council
    Leicester City Council
    Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council
    Swindon Borough Council
    Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council
    Wigan Council

    Future Research

Matthew is currently completing a series of projects including:

Investigating the impact of the 2011 riots in England on public attitudes
A book project on electoral support for extremist parties
An individual-level survey of far right members and activists
There is no need for public opinion when you can just bring in 'experts' like this socialist.

Yes, but you think call me Dave is a good bloke, despite the fact that he meets up with Common Purpose.

Warsi is their token Muslim, it ticks some of the boxes and generally she keeps her mouth shut at the right time.

Dr Matthew Goodwin, I don't need an introduction to him, he is apparently an expert on the EDL and regularly appears as a speaker on them.

He's one of what Lord Pearson calls the political class. This is where the Tories go wrong. Cameron is not that bad, I mean not bad when one compares him to dictators like this person. Anyhow, it is good to source your information from a wide variety of sources, and Con Home lets me know what is wrong and what is right about the Tory Party. I wish I could say the UKIP were an improvement, but they are not. Indeed they drink from exactly the same Marxist nonesense as the rest of them do. One plus point about Con Home though is the readers are a little wiser. Warsi was voted the worst of the lot. In the old days political parties used to take note of what their members wanted, but with fascists like Goodwin they are now being ignored. If things don’t improve I’ll probably vote for the BNP as the party that most pi$$es the blighters off. I refuse point blank to vote for any party that espouses political correctness.
