Well, I agree that there is something very wrong with the Tories. What does the Tories have to say?

Whilst I agree that the Tories are just BluLabour and seem to be little different from the last government, I must disagree with this thread.

First off, I believe that Theresa May is one of the few real Tories left in the Conservative Party, although maybe not the sharpest tool in the box.

Secondly, the Protection of Freedoms Bill AKA the Repeal Act, is nothing like the equality act, you couldn't compare them.

Some of the really horrible things that the Freedom Bill does,

Scraps ID cards

Deletes DNA of those arrested but not charged or convicted (i.e. the innocent)

Stops councils using the RIPA Act to snoop on householders

Stops wheel clamping on private land (an end to dodgy wheel clampers)

Stops finger printing of children in schools without the parent's consent

Volunteers will now not have to be CRB checked for things like doing a school run with someone else's kids or doing a couple of hour's refereeing on a Sunday for a kid's match etc.

That's just some of the stuff in the Freedom Bill, but I'm sure you get the gist, NuLab must be turning in its grave, that people are being allowed to do things (or not, in some cases like wheel clamping) without the state monitoring them, finger printing them or DNAing them.

It should become law in the next few months and there is absolutely nothing Orwellian about it, the exact opposite.
