Who is ordering the Tory Party to remain Europhile?
That comment by Janice Small about the Tories not being allowed to talk about the Lisbon Treaty when campaigning is a mystifying comment. So can we have some intelligent ideas on who is ordering them? Perhaps we could arrive at the answer by a process of elimination. Lets start with the public, who are supposedly their bosses. Well do we have any evidence the public are demanding that the Tory Party should shut up on Europe? Next, lets think about the membership, which used to be 3 million but now stands at 177 000. How many members of the Tories have resigned over the Tories talking about Europe? Can we have some figures? So what does that leave you with if it is neither of these two groups? Is it the donors perhaps? Have any withdrawn funds because they have talked about the Lisbon Treaty? Who else is there? For anyone with genuine inside information I would be most grateful if you could share it on this thread. Someone must have the answer somewhere.

No inside info but at a guess I would say America.
They urged us to go into the European project ,provided money and support for the pro Common Market movement and they still want us to stay in. Fox hasn`t exactly been blasted out of the water by Cameron for trailing his "best freind " around the world with him who was financially supported by American and Jewish interests has he?
Yes America, but I suspect, more precisely, it is a combination of the influence of the global corporations, who want a United States of Europe, and leading politician's personal ambitions.
The global corporations want a USofE because it offers a huge market for their brands and if there is union - identical rules, which means they don't have to adapt their product to suit each nation's laws. Also, bribery and corruption of the eurocrats, who make these rules, is far easier - this allows a corporation to ensure that the rules benefits their product at the expense of their smaller rivals [herbal remedies a good example].
Leading politicians, like Blair and Cameron, do not want to accept that the UK is now a middle ranking nation and act accordingly. They look with envy on their predecessors who, when the UK was a leading power, could stride the world stage and rightfully be viewed as important. This is now impossible unless they unite with other EU nations to form a grander and richer bloc.

Cameron found it handy to expel him from the cabinet before the report was published, but then Cameron doesn't like eurosceptics. Another clue is they described Werritty as a 'Walter Mitty' character. They used the same description for David Kelly. It must mean something in MI6 speak.
I thought the Americans found the EU as much of a bad thing as we do. Well the American public are certainly dead against it. I suppose though there is the same situation where the government is working to a different agenda. They got infiltrated by commies during the McCarthy era.

The UK and the USA share quite a bit of "intelligence" I suspect that they find it useful to keep an eye on what is going on inside the EU via the British.I recall that the French were unamused a couple of years back when we passed on secret information from the French to the Americans.
I hadn`t thought of Werrity as an M16 agent, I suppose he may do that as a side line ,his day job being to stay at as many 5 star hotels as possible.
They are known as spooks, and from what I gather it is a pretty apt description. I met David Shayler once and he explained what the process was like. He said it was more clichéd than the popular clichés that are rumoured. One of my relatives was involved in British Intelligence and not even his family were aware of what he did. They kind of disconnect from their family and the only clue anyone had was when he was married and the family were invited along to the wedding. You talk about five star, but in fact this would have been closer to Buckingham Palace. They had never seen such riches, but still they had no clue what he did and pretty much lost touch after that. However, I think there is a way of telling if they work in such a job. They tend to give off a weird vibe. It’s hard to describe, but they seem kind of disconnected from normal life. Another time I had an encounter with one was someone friends of mine met at Cliveden. Again he gave off this distinctive secret service vibe, and was the sort of person that could fix anything up he wanted to.
It’s as if we have a government within a government. I guess they wanted Werritty out for some reason. Maybe he was just too indiscrete. When working in such a job they don’t normally even keep normal friends. Everyone in their social life is on the firm’s payroll. Sometimes they have accidents as well. There was one in the news recently. They often try and explain them as suicides and they usually mention some perverted sexual practice was involved as well. Do you remember a long time ago that Tory found dead with a tangerine in his mouth? Well he was currently asking the wrong questions in Parliament about the MOD. Naturally these spooks are amongst the journalists in the mainstream media, so they can report their own version of events.

My opinion on Common Purpose is that it is part of a lot greater system. All Common Purpose functions as, is a networking and public sector management brainwashing unit. I don't think it has any power in its own right. Like many of the things we see, they are taking orders from above.
