As a committed anti-EU campaigner I look forward to voting here in the capital later today to hopefully help remove the anti-UKIP europhile Livingstone as Mayor of London
.It does our cause no good at all having pro-EU leftist Livingstone hold the biggest directly-elected office in europe (after the French Presidency). I have two votes in today's Mayoral election and one of them will most definitely be going to Conservative Boris Johnson MP who will face Livingstone in the second round of voting. I want Livingstone out of City Hall. Little has been said about the election to the 24-member London Assembly which is also taking place today - but I think there is a chance Labour (Lie-bour) and the europhile Liberal 'Democrats' could lose at least one seat each on that .Let's hope so anyway .London Mayoral Election 2008 candidates: Richard Barnbrook - British National Party, Gerard Batten - UK Independence Party, Siān Berry - Green Party, Alan Craig - Christian Peoples Alliance and Christian Party , Lindsey German - Left List, Boris Johnson - Conservative Party, Ken Livingstone - The Labour Party, Winston McKenzie - Independent, Matt O'Connor - English Democrats, Brian Paddick - Liberal Democrats. Full details of the London Mayoral and Assembly candidates for the 1.5.2008 London Elections at: London Elects - The candidates and in posting number three at: UKIP Gerard Batten London mayor Election Broadcast Last edited by Britannist; 01-05-2008 at 12:13 AM. |

Forgive me for disagreeing with you but: No he is not.
Most of the people writing on this forum that we should not vote for Boris Johnson MP do not live in the capital and do not know what it is like to have to put up with europhile Livingstone every day. You are displaying the UKIP logo, EU Blues - Livingstone hates UKIP. I have no record of Boris Johnson MP making any anti-UKIP remarks. Boris Johnson opposes the euro and is against the EU Superstate. Livingstone wants the euro; has said publicly that he wants the UK to become part of the EU Superstate and has even called for London clocks to be put on continental european time. If you are reading this in London - please use one of your two votes today in the Mayoral Election by supporting Conservative Mayoral candidate Boris Johnson MP. |

Hitchens gets it right again.
Sadly, not only do we have to beat Labour, but Blue Labour too. Blue Labour being even more difficult as people set in their ways can't see that they are no better. Worse in fact, because they are a wolf in sheeps clothing.

So as others have opined in the answers section to his column, who are we supposed to vote for? Its very easy to snipe away from the sidelines when you get a very nice renumeration for doing so. The British people are desperate for change, and need positivity not negativity. I have nailed my colours to the mast of the BNP. Others have to UKIP on this forum. Hitchens are firmly secured to his bank account. ![]() |

I understand that Mr. Hitchens has criticised UKIP (as Vortex also appears to imply in posting number seven to this thread). From what he has written previously on his Mail on Sunday blog I am led to believe that Mr. Hitchens is not a supporter of the party.
