News of pro-EU and anti-UKIP David Cameron, leader of the Conservative Party:
Brief extract from an article in today's Daily Telegraph about the Conservatives now having an 18% opinion poll lead - "However, the poll is not all good news for Mr. Cameron as his personal approval rating has dropped slightly. Mr. Cameron's team are nervous about the forthcoming London elections and the Conservative leader last week told The Daily Telegraph that a loss for Boris Johnson would be "bad" and "very disappointing" for the party." The Telegraph report about the 18% Conservative lead in the new YouGov opinion poll said that the Conservative lead of 18% had increased from 14% because of annoyance at and Labour squabbling over abolition of the 10 pence tax band for low earners. More on the new YouGov opinion poll on projected General Election voting intentions in today's Telegraph at: Conservatives 18% ahead of Labour - biggest Tory opinion poll lead for 21 years London Mayoral Election 2008 candidates: Richard Barnbrook - British National Party, Gerard Batten - UK Independence Party, Siān Berry - Green Party, Alan Craig - Christian Peoples Alliance and Christian Party , Lindsey German - Left List, Boris Johnson - Conservative Party, Ken Livingstone - The Labour Party, Winston McKenzie - Independent, Matt O'Connor - English Democrats, Brian Paddick - Liberal Democrats.
