It is high time that 'newbies' such as Ken (12 posts, 3 on this thread) and Danny (9 posts) didn't turn up on fora demanding in an aggressive fashion that long-term or regular posters be banned without offering a single shred of evidence to support their assertions.

Might I respectfully suggest that if you don't like the people who post on a forum you have only just joined that you f@ck off elsewhere. How stupid can you be to join something just to whinge and moan.

Nobody on this thread has directed the mods to a single post that we can examine and consider. If I stumble across an offensive post by cassie I will warn him, but he and I don't seem to be interested in the same subjects as I haven't read much of his work.

Children, as newbies your attitude sucks. Direct us to specific occasions where cassie has been genuinely offensive, as opposed to robust in defending his position, and we will make a decision, but I for one am not prepared to ban or caution anyone without evidence. Blanket assertions without times and dates of posts are pointless. They demonstrate an intellectual laziness on the part of the people who make them and I am genuinely fed up with the thick t@ssers who have recently joined this forum to post unsubstantiated and poorly argued assertions that detract from proper debate.

This is supposed to be a place where people interested in politics debate intelligently amongst each other, but some of the recent arrivals are amongst the worst people this forum has ever entertained. There used to be a lot more educated and informed people on this forum. They brought something to the debate with their knowledge and experience. They have been driven away by moronic trolls who arrive and seek to disparage other posters as part of their personal vendettas.

Danny, It's high time that people who complain to moderators produce evidence.

You must give more information as to time and date of post and the thread and section of the forum. There are tens of thousands of posts and threads to look through, how, on the basis of your post, could I find cassie's post against you (in response to some of your comments it seems, but I'm not getting into a 'he said, she said' argument).

Aardvark, that is a clear case of bias in favour of the way cassie attacks and picks on other posters. What agenda do you moderstores have? When cassie was bullying a woman(Frith) Andy McKee openly ignored complaints about it to allow it to continue. I understand that you moderators are all UKIP supporters. Is the agenda to undermine the English Democratic Party?

No David I don't have an agenda. I think most mods no longer have time to spend watching every thread and every debate. I have no real interest in the EDP threads and rarely visit. I don't want to get drawn into the internal fighting within the EDP; I have enough challenges dealing with the internal squabbles of UKIP. Yes I am in UKIP although I do wonder why. I am not trying to undermine the EDP; I think one or 2 'supporters' are doing that themselves. There are plenty of people on this forum who by their words and actions seem to be undermining UKIP. If we banned them all it would be a very 'thin' forum.

I respond to complaints that are framed in a way I can deal with them. There is a lot of 'he said, she said' debate that I don't like getting into. I have dealt with the thread against Danny in the same way I dealt with the thread against akria.

I also snip the odd inappropriate word if I come across it.

I know Frith is a woman, but it isn't always easy to work out who the women are as some post with male names. I'm surprised Alex ignored complaints if they were laid out in a way that is easy to follow up.

The correct way to complain is to highlight not only the post complained of, with time, date and thread, but also the words in the post that are clearly wrong. Some people have complained about people responding to them and disagreeing with their point of view; there is no way that we can moderate people's views just because someone else says they are wrong. Some people insult everyone else, but get upset when they themselves feel sleighted. We do try to be fair. I've been insulted by lots of people who don't like it when they get the same back, albeit couched more carefully. In fact being a moderator has meant that I have had to ignore insults such as 'traitor', 'enemy', 'Quisling', 'Illuminati', 'prat' (Burgess has a limited vocabulary) rather than leap in and abuse my position.

As a mod I can see the e-mails that people use to register and I can check people's IPs. This means that I have a reasonable idea of who is using more than one ID, who is sharing a computer and who the posters really are. I can see people joining and immediately ganging up on others and it doesn't impress me. I don't use the information to 'out' people although if people show their hand in other ways then I don't mind using their real names.

I think cassie is sailing close to the wind; the locked thread is a warning. If he uses offensive language against other posters, other than in direct response to the same, then I will commence the process of infractions leading to banning. I'm not going to trawl over 1000 posts looking for insults.

We have no agenda. I couldn't care less about your little power struggles in the EDP. If you don't like it here, go elsewhere. Oh, and get my name right next time.

Incidentally, regarding Cassie and Frith - they each give as good as they get. Cassie's terrible bullying was a comment such as "You wouldn't say that to my face".
