Default Closed thread policy

I believe the Administration of a message board has the right to manage their own site without undue criticism or interference from the membership -however, I find it quite dismissive and inconsiderate to simply close a thread without even a cursory explanation.

Would it not be advisable to adopt a policy of terminating a thread with a brief message explaining why such a decision has been made?

Respectfully,

B.

It is rare for a therad to be closed. It is mostly when discussion strays on to the BNP yet again, or if it ends up in a slanging match.

If you want to see closed threads super fast put a post on the No2ID discussion site mentioning the EU.

Let me guess, they're closed because the forum is stuffed full of Lib Dims?

Well this is the British Democracy Forum. Do you believe the BNP has no place in British democracy? Do you believe all parties should be approved by the state?

If this is a UKIP only forum, then are you a member of UKIP and why do you have an English Democrats forum? The forum doesn't have to endorse the views held by the BNP to allow open, unfettered debate.

As for your comment about going to Stormfront, I should make it clear to you that members of the BNP are not supposed to frequent the 'site or at least not to post there.

How would it be possible to discuss 'BIG BROTHER' related topics on that site -without making reference to the EU? Issues like: National Identity cards etc... Which seem to be their focus.
I am going to test your theory by placing a link to a Eurosceptic message board in their links forum.

It was fun and stimulating discussing economics in that thread...

Too bad it is closed now.

No, I just won't allow a racist party to use this forum to promote itself.

I am not a UKIP member. The forum is open to members of any political party, except that promotion of the BNP is banned.

We have tried allowing it a couple of times before. Every time it just ends up in discussions about race because, by and large, BNP members are racists and can't help talking about it. They are perfectly entitled to their views, but that doesn't mean that we have to allow it on a private forum.

Racist? Perhaps, though I believe every single mainstream party who favours mass- immigration, so called 'positive discrimination' and the displacement of the indigenous population (against their will) can also be called racist.

So what constitutes the promotion of the BNP? Is it advocating our ideals and beliefs or requesting that people vote for the party?

Well of course race is a major factor.[SNIPPED - no promotion of the BNP please.]. Why should that be a problem? If you feel threatened by this and are unwilling to allow open and unfettered debate, please delete my membership. But can I suggest you change the name of the forum, as it'd be neither British or democratic to stifle such discussion, especially when you're preventing such about something as crucial as the racial and cultural transformation of the UK. Something entirely unprecedented.
