I am sure that the Administration would be eager to investigate any miscarriages of justice, where a decision gives every indication of being one, without being requested to do so.

It is not mob rule that is the concern, but unjust and overbearing moderation. The purpose of a forum is to attract as many people as possible. Unjust and overbearing moderation is likely to drive them away!
