Default Explanation of site registration process

In response to two recent threads, please note that anyone - troll, bot or real poster - who registers is automatically included in the list of 'members' and shown on the member list.

However, they are unable to post until activated by the mods. The majority of spam posters are therefore not activated, and in effect are 'dormant' accounts. But they will show up as 'newest member'.

So there is no need to worry or start a new complaint thread based on a new user name appearing. It don't mean they are active!

Many of us (myself included) already knew this; it just makes us feel important and as though we have contributed to warn you of them anyway.

I feel I have played (a tincy wincy  ) part in this.

I was aware of this and was joking. More a laugh at today's paranoid 'security' agencies than this forum.
