Not so much a complaint, but rather a question.
How come signatures aren't enabled on the forum? I know some people are prone to abusing them but with rules in place about how big they are, I don't see why not :?:

In other forums I visit, they allow sigs but have strict rules - either four lines of text or a small (200x50) graphic and one line of text. Anyone breaking those rules is warned (in case of ignorance) then banned if they persist. It works well.

Sadly forum signatures are so often abused. Also, imagine the worst happens and the p0rn bots get through again. A few years back one of the common bots used to post vulgar images into the user signatures.
When we were suffering under particularly heavy spam deluge earlier this year, there were a lot of people very quick to complain about the text and link content of the spam posts: imagine the response if the signatures get filled with vulgar images. I'm with Tony; enabling them isn't an option at this time. |
