The Union Flag

The Union flag on the top right of the site is inverted, it is the wrong way round !

A basic error that should be corrected asap !

John Carter - you are quite wrong - the union flag on this site is inside out. If it is to be flown as a distress signal then it needs to be upside down which, currently, it is not.

At least Dad's Army know which way (the flag) is up !

I've just taken a number of correct way up union flags and flipped them about the horizontal axis in PhotoShop. They all end up looking like the one at the top of this forum.

Could you please explain what you're on about when you say "inside out".

And I'm not sure that this is relevant, but in my browser the flag is at the top left.

The Union Flag on the topleft of the site (not right sorry) is an image of the the back of our national flag not the front.

The 'key' to assertaining the correct way round is the broad white band which on the front of the Union Flag (since 1808) is on the top left of the front of the flag; above (not below) the diagonal red cross.

I trust this clarifies my point !

Not really. I don't know what you mean by "inside out" and how this differs from "upside down".

Think about your pullover and how differnt it would look upside down compared with inside out - or even correctly worn !
