I am glad that Anthony has recommended this because it shows he difference between liberalism and polical correctness which is mixed up even by genuine liberals. They believe in freedom of expression and individual rights but have imbibed political correctness which is a totalitarian doctrine that suppresses those liberl values. This can be tested by thinking about what the terms like "racism", "homophobia" and "sexism" mean. They stop thought rather than facilitate it and this is why our vocabulary is being changed.
This liberal outlook was replaced in the 60.s and 70.s when individual rights was changed to "group rights." The best book on that is: "Politics of the Forked Tongue" by Aidan Rankin. New European Publications Limited, 14-16, Carroun Road, London SW8 1JT
