Seems like I'm still on the BNP spam email list. I've never posted a BNP fundraising email here before and probably never will again, but this one I received today is so unbelievably dire and cranky that I thought I must share it.
I have to say, I'm surprised. I'm very anti BNP, as you may have spotted, but their organization recently has struck me as very professional. Dishonest, maybe, but nonetheless well produced and well pitched to recruit worried patriots. The email below, which I received today, is headed "A Message from BNP Chairman Nick Griffin", but is so bad that it might almost have been put out by Searchlight in an attempt to discredit the BNP. Here it is:
(At the top of the message is a large black image of a cross. I watched it for a few minutes to see if it would burst into flames, but nothing happened. All the bits in bold below are in bold in the original email)
The email is embelished with a pic of four white guys with rosettes standing in front of a huge BNP billboard which has a picture of the Prince of Peace accompanied by the following legend:
Dear Friend,
What has become of the Christian church in this country? Instead of inclusively "embracing all" which the church claims is its basis, certain groups within that body have banned people from their ranks simply because of their membership in the British National Party.
Surely if God calls a man to his service, no church has the right to contradict HIS holy will! For many years, the churches in this country scrupulously avoided being politically biased. Nowadays however we see a small number of clerics and bishops openly preaching hatred towards the BNP.
Church leaders actively shun the word of God on issues like sodomy, abortion and social justice. Yet they now feel compelled to compound this hypocrisy by acting as spokespersons for violent Marxist groups.
These same churchmen never said a word when their extremist Marxist friends attacked BNP members with claw hammers in Greater Manchester. This attack took place soon after local vicars held a public meeting castigating the BNP.
Their actions actually encouraged this violence and their silence since then is in effect tacit approval. As any true Christian would recognise, the demonisation of any social group comes just before the process of dehumanisation.
Then, as the Jews found out in Nazi Germany, once a people have been dehumanised, anything is possible. As in 1930s Germany, those who should have stopped the process of violence have instead turned away in guilty silence.
The British National Party is the ONLY political party which genuinely supports Britain's Christian heritage. It is the only party which will defend our ancient faith and nation from the threat of Islamification.
With this in mind I invite you to preview our European election billboard (pictured right) aimed at attracting even more Christian voters.
Jesus was viewed as a revolutionary figure, hated and hounded to death, not by 'evil men' but by the corrupt hypocrites who ran the church. Has nothing changed in two thousand years?
On June 4th, the leaders of Britain's churches will find out that millions of good decent people support the British National Party.
It's not racist to support British jobs for British workers or to be opposed to militant Islam, it's just common sense and in line with the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Yours Sincerely
Nick Griffin
Chairman, BNP
And then at the foot of the email, get this - they have a banner with a pic of that poor bloke who was injured by a hammer by some commie thugs last month, with this message:John 15:20. "If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you!" What would Jesus do? Vote BNP!
If I was a Christian, I think I might be offended by this cack-handed tosh - unless I found its awfulness funny. Nonetheless, I hope this email is genuine! If it is, I shall now stop bothering about the BNP with immediate effect, because I'm happy to say that you ain't going nowhere!Tony Ward - Victim of Church-Inspired Violence!![]()

what's the problem?
you have a strange sense of humour.
The church should be shown for what it is, a vile bunch of freaks. Normal Christians should tell them to do one as they are only harming the Christian faith.
I've just read this bit from Griffin's email again. Does this imply that Griffin sees himself as a revolutionary, Christ-like figure? Will he be setting up his own church?Jesus was viewed as a revolutionary figure, hated and hounded to death, not by 'evil men' but by the corrupt hypocrites who ran the church. Has nothing changed in two thousand years?![]()
