Tom Wise? Robert Kilroy-Silk? Who on earth would follow these people with their records? The problem in my mind is that many of those mentioned are actually part of the problem, not the solution. They have been quite happy for a number of years to get their fat pay cheque and make the occassional speech, but apart from that, nothing too disruptive.

What we need is people to chain themselves to the main doors of the EU Parliament, sit-down protests, making as much noise as possible and generally being as much a pain in the **** as they can be to cause as much pain and grief to the whole federal process.

I mean why bother making ANY speeches in the Parliament when they only last for a supposed 90 seconds? Like that is going to ruffle any feathers, yeah! MEPs have NO power and NO influence, so at least let them make their name on the streets, not in that institution, which is what it should be - a MENTAL institution!

I was simply just listing those that I knew to be anti-EU, this includes Wise and Kilroy-Silk (I'm 99% certain that these two will not be elected politicians for any party in a year's time anyway!).

As for protests? Fine. But CND supporting mothers chaining themselves to the security fences of USAF/RAF bases hasn't stopped nuclear weapons being based here. However a united front of experienced Australian politicians saw the country go nuclear-free by setting out a set of policies saying how it could be achieved.

However, granted, if the protests do work there's still some issues.

The anti-EU are going to need to be prepared to govern the country during and post-EU withdrawal or else the pro-EU group will happily take us bach there. Also there will need to be a coherent government strategy to work out how to take us out of the Union, how to negotiate the best deal and how to have a postitive relationship with Europe after our withdrawal, as well as implement changes within our own system that would be needed to address post-withdrawal problems.

There NEEDS to be an established and experienced set of politicians in place to achieve this.

I'm assuming Ashley Mote would be another who'd like out of the EU.
