Ok, let us cut through the cynicism a bit and try and focus on the positives. Who are your favourite politicians?
They don't have to match your own political view points but maybe you admire their charcter (or vice versa)? By this I mean elected representatives or peers within British politics. Maybe you have your own 'ideal' government in mind, formed by a cross-section of different party politicians (maybe they all oppose the EU etc)? Feel free to say as many (or few) as you can and even give some reasons. Do you admire David Davis for his principled stand? Did you support Clare Short's resignation from the Labour party? Maybe Bob Spink is your man? Is a Sir Menzies Campbell one of Britain's few elder statesmen? Fell free to have a go and list yours! |

If we are talking of MP's I would say only Ian Paisley for his stance on homosexuality and his Patriotism.
Of English MP's last good one was Alan Clark.
