Default "Class war is far from over" (claim)

"Class war is far from over" - the title of an article by Times columnist and former Conservative MP Mr. Matthew Parris (Mr. Parris refers to last week's Crewe-Nantwich Parliamentary By-Election which Labour lost after criticisms from some that it had allegedly mocked "toffs" in its campaign to stop the Cameron-Conservatives winning the constituency):

We never have had a classless society and we never will have. There have always been leaders and the led and there always will be, (that's what makes the World go round) There are and there will always be "chippy" people who detest the sound of a cultured accent! I've met some really nice genuine people from "Old money", and some real b*****D's from "new money"! Normally there is nothing more vulgar than a "pond life" person who comes into money. I remember many years ago a local "yob" won the pools, went to an upmarket pub with his "mates" , got drunk, had a row with the landlady of the pub and then crushed all the heads of the Orchids which were on display, saying, "I'm rich I can do what I like"!

Destroying flowers is heartbreaking Do people like this get any sort of discipline once they reach a different social step?

I don't think that is why they lost and really we need a bit more populism. Screw the toffs.

You know when Labour is in trouble because they play the class card.
