Ten MPs actually - the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) have 9 MPs in the Commons and UKIP has one MP (Mr. Bob Spink).

They should do that. How can any of the Unionist parties in NI genuinely claim to be protecting the Union if they do what the separatists of SNP and Plaid do and only stand in one part of the United Kingdom? NI is seen as distant by many people on the mainland and one of the reasons for that is its distinct politics with parties standing there which don't stand in mainland constituencies. A party of the United Kingdom should stand in all parts of the Kingdom.

At first it may seem that, but add in all of UKIP's membership, plus those of the EDP and some of the other parties and with the added support of disgruntled Tories the majority of the membership would be English.

Imagine elections in Britain with just ONE single major anti-EU party that represents a cross-section of libertarian and conservative British values.

There would a lot less vote splitting, factioning and competition and this party would be strong and united enough to take on the mainstream groups to one side and the BNP on the other at the same time.
