Dissident Congress

This is the Achilles heel of a Traditional Labour Party.

Some members will go round with the attitude "Stuff the ethnics, they're not one of us unless they integrate and throw their culture and identity out of the window. Focus on the disenfranchised white working class which has little time for foreign cultures and people from far away lands. Most ethnics won't abandon their cultures and integrate so they're better off leaving Britain".

Other members will say "Our party is based on class not race so black and white unite providing we are working class. Therefore we must persuade people from ethnic minorities to stop supporting capitalist Labour and come and join us. Multiculturalism divides the working class so ethnics must also be encouraged to abandon their cultures and religions and embrace the culture of the white working class. Any idea of focusing primarily on white working class people and telling ethnics to go back to the countries of their origin will make the party BNP MkII".

Parties dont come from a vacuum and are either start driven by an honest mass movement issue concern ( eg Old Labour) , or intellectual origin non mass movement ( eg marxism) which sets out to to manipulate the system to seize power. The interesting situation now is the replacement of Old Labour by upper middle class wealthy cynical exploitive tick box target high tax P.C.New Labour.

There are plenty of alternative minor socialist parties around without inventing new ones, varying from ethno socialist BNP , national socialist PlCy & SNP, revolutionary socialist SWP etc etc . Whatever turns you on.

It can be argued socialism is past its sell by date . The danger is that its being replaced by a " progressive political consensus " of the elite in power including opposition parties , patronising to to or seeking to ban dissent from the base line they have selected whilst slurping from the trough. The EU commisars/MEPs and those that feed off them are the ultimate example. Antidode to that is vigorous protest parties , mocking exposing and electorally damaging the political elite & their values. Thats ONE of the functions of UKIP.

Socialist govenments have controlled Sweden since the 1940's, They appear to have got something right ,High standard of living,highly developed welfare system and one of the highest average incomes in the world.
It works in Sweden ,why not here ?
