Conservative MPs, including a number of europhiles, were among those who voted against reducing the abortion time limit in a debate held in the House of Commons earlier this week. Fortunately most Conservative MPs voted to cut the abortion time limit (as did some Labour MPs) – but unfortunately more MPs voted to keep things as they are now than did the number who backed a time limit reduction.

Among Conservative MPs who voted against reducing the abortion time limit was Shadow Chancellor George Osborne (Conservative leader David Cameron was among those who voted for a reduction):
