A ComRes national opinion poll published in today's Independent on Sunday puts the Conservatives 17% ahead of Labour:
Conservatives 43% +3% Labour 26% 0% (no change) Liberal 'Democrats' 19% -1% ComRes say that 43% of Labour voters want Gordon Brown to quit as Prime Minister and Labour leader with 57% of all voters holding the same view. 46% of those questioned thought that David Cameron, the pro-EU and anti-UKIP leader of the Conservative opposition, has what it takes to be a good Prime Minister - but 42% do not. |
