Good that neither the Left List nor europhile Galloway and his Respect Party won a seat on the London Assembly in this month's elections in the capital. Even their vote combined would not have been enough to get a single seat.

BonnieDundee. Look at their manifesto for yourself. We are not trying to re-write anything. They have clear left-wing policies.

If the media refer to them as right wing, then this is false (or a deliberate lie). They need to log on and look at their manifesto and see for themselves. Heck, even the political compass website has them marked as 'left-wing authoritarian'.

We are not re-writing anything, it is you who is doing so. The BNP have left-wing policies by anyone's standards. All one needs to do is go and read them.

Maybe this just shows that the left-right wing stuff is not as dominant as it may have been in the past. Not left not Right just Nationalist.

If the BNP is left wing they so was Winston Churchill, Benjamin Disraeli, Bismark and even General Franco.

I wouldn't be so happy. The door is flung wide open for the takeover of the Galloway faction of Respect by Islamic extremists. A Respect victory could have put the party in the hands of the moderate Muslims and kept the extremists away. Respect has a powerbase in Birmingham which may take over the party from Galloway.

Good! I would like to be there on the day Galloway's pet 'victim group' turn on him. His face will be a picture!

I don't think it is unfortunate at all. One needs balance.

It is true they have some policies which could be called collectivist, that does not make them leftwing. It is completely false that the right are always collectivist and the left always individualist. The left have some of the greatest individualists. Also they do even have policies which are not just "collectivist" but could be called leftist(and in fact these are quite good such as distributism.) but they also have many rightwing polices and these more than balance out the rest. So the media is entirely correct in calling them rightwing.

And Louis XIV and William the Conqueror. This American style libertarian "rugged individualist" definition of rightwing has little to do with reality or history.
