Default Less-than-human British?

Trevor Phillips, in his official capacity as chairman of the Commission of Equality and Human Rights, has stated that some members of British society should be treated as 'less than human'. The last reference I read with a similar aim resulted in millions of people being murdered in concentration camps during WW2. Is Mr Phillips now showing NuLabours true colours?

Quote:
He urged people to turn their backs on racists in communities and at the ballot box and showed his contempt for the British National Party by saying they should be treated as "less than human".

Good principle, bad choice of words.

Imagine if we referred to the Black Police Association as 'less than human".

Quite!

Virtually every great Briton who ever lived would have been, in a low-key sense, 'racist'. Some, like Winston Churchill, Queen Elizabeth I and David Hume were outspoken enough to put themselves in the ultra-racist sinbin.

To those who say 'That was then; this is now', I would address the question. 'What exactly have we learned since 1600, 1750 and 1950 that wasn't sheer bloody obvious before?'

I'll tell you.

Even as long ago 1600 and a fortiori by 1950 the argument was made, again and again, 'If only they were allowed to rule themselves they would develop in line with us'.

The sad truth is that we now know better, but people like Bear are in denial about the truth.

‘The Bear’ backs two key aims of the europhile agenda of the liberal/broad left: the EU Superstate and proportional representation (PR - that old favourite of the pro-euro and pro-EU Liberal ‘Democrats’):

‘The Bear’ wrote on 19.4.2008 at 10.49 am in the thread titled “The UK’s vanishing way of life” in the Talk About section of this anti-EU forum: “I DO want a single United States of Europe!”

‘The Bear’ wrote at 2.48 pm on 21.4.2008 in the thread titled “Fair comment from the Sun": “….there is need for root and branch reform of the whole electoral system and the introduction of some form of PR.”

Absolutly correct, and exactly the views that I hold. Not only do I want to see a United States of Europe, I want Britian to be fully locked into it.

Of course. That would prevent the danger of any future democratic vote for withdrawal.

Which party do you support? Obviously not UKIP and probably not the Euro-lukewarm Tories either.

Is the Mosleyite fascist 'Europe a Nation' party still going? You could be its Fuhrer for all we know.
