Lack of progress? Right so we had 3 candidates 2 years ago and this year we had 31 and thats a lack of progress?
In 11 seats in Liverpool we recieved over 3000 votes and most of them didnt recieve a single leaflet. Merseyside has always been a hard place for any right wing group, also the BNP beat the tories 11-0 in Liverpool.

UKIP in Liverpool dropped from 2 candidates in Liverpool to 1 and in that seat they were beaten by the BNP.

Also its worth noting that Liverpool is a famously left wing city. However in all the respect that matter the BNP is the most left wing party available to the good people of that great city.

This is what is happening in the BNP. For years moderate nationalists have been gradually supplanting the fascist element of the Party. As Nick Griffin has constantly stated he wanted to happen. I do not believe that more the 10% at most of the Party at most would support the kind of comments Mark Collett makes.

However the Party has now reached the limits of what can be achieved while still having a element of Neo-Nazis within its ranks. This fact provoked the attempt last year by good and successful activists to force the issue. You will recall the aims of the EiE blog was exactly that. It was not an attempt to seize control of the Party but to force Nicholas to complete the Party's reformation.

However much to my amazement Griffin, when push came to shove, sided with the fascist element of the Party. In doing so he destroyed all the efforts he had made to rehabilitate himself as a moderate nationalist, and caused the Party immense damage in the process. He compounded this disaster by acting in such a way as to make the BNP's commitment to freedom and democracy laughable.

So now we are in a situation were the old BNP is destroyed. There can no longer be a tacit alliance between modern rational nationalists and the old school Moselyite Neo Nazi element. The only question is which faction will end up with control of the BNP's name, voter base and organisation. If the Griffinite element emerge victorious the BNP will be put back twenty years, it will be stuck with a Chairman whose single goal is getting himself a colossal pay day in Brussels and has no idea or interest in building a successful nationalist party on the model of those which have been successful in Europe.

This is the moment when the BNP membership decide if they want a serious political Party, utilizing radical electoral tactics, or a cargo cult based solely on Nick's whims and with the sole goal of ramming a handful of fascists into the European Parliament for their personal enrichment.

The choice is yours. However I get the distinct impression BlueBlood 1920 that you would be happier with the NSDAP than with the VB.

PS. We may have a mutual acquaintance in the South Birmingham organiser who hails from Liverpool. The very embodiment of decent patriotic nationalist of almost suicidal courage who deserves much much better than he gets from the Welshpool clique.

White Nationalist? A meaningless American term which is simply a euphemism for white supremacism. A ridiculous concept given the abject state of the "white" race.

Not strictly true. Liverpool is better described as a highly socially liberal city than a left wing city. It isn't an old Labour area anywhere near as much as places like South Yorkshire.

Populist Lee might dispute this with his "holy grail", but the socially liberal nature of Liverpool coupled with its very low proportion of ethnics and Muslims makes patriotism unattractive.

It has a Marxist tradition as is usual ina City with a high proportion of people of Irish catholic origin. The Docks were ruined by Marxist -led strikes and then after Derek Hatton bancrupt the City they went, for them, right-wing and voted Liberals in. They are politically naive, or stupid, but seem to be waking up.
There are few asians there but a lot of blacks but little integration as they seem to stay in Toxteth. The City centre is very white to walk around. It has one of the oldest black communities as a port city like London and Cardiff. There were serious riots and looting there in 1981 with smoke billowing over the Mersey which followed serious riots in 1949 and before that in 1919.
