Default Prime Minister Johnson

Should Boris Johnson enjoy great success in the role of Mayor of London - handling the £11bn budget well, tackling crime, improving public transport and in many othes ways improving London (as well as remaining free of any serious or damaging gaffes or policies) - what chance Boris for the role of Prime Minister?

A Boris Johnson, with all his skills as a person - in making politics accessible to apathetic people, in using his wit and humour appropriately and in engaging and relating to the voter - combined with a new found discipline, management of the world's greatest cities and noew found leadership qualities, could well be placed for the top-job. Should David Cameron either be elected as Prime Minister and step down, or never quite make it, would a Conservative Party ever turn to Johnson?

Finding him a seat wouldn't be a problem and such a notion isn't that unbelievable, for Johnson does have some 'Churchillian' qualities - in his aforementioned wit, public speaking and ability to involve and inspire.

So, what chance Prime Minister Boris?!

My immediate reaction was also to scoff, but having read a potted history of Boris here:

BBC NEWS | Politics | The Boris Johnson story

the suggestion does not seem nearly as ridiculous.

Tories taking power was predicted long ago.

Just remember Cameron is bloodline, pro-EU and will have us in a fascist police-state faster than Labour ever could.

Something tells me Boris getting in is not good news. I hated Ken and Labour, but the main reason was their champaign socialism, greed and corruption, and of course what they have done to England. They was not a genuine Labour party and widened the gap between rich and poor.

We are now going to have to suffer the Tory air for decades to come.

I hate Labour for it!

What are you smoking? A guy with the Cornish flag, who resides in South Wales, who claims to be English.

Cameron is bloodline,
Quote:
Cameron is a direct descendant of King William IV and his mistress Dorothea Jordan (and thus 5th cousin, twice removed of Queen Elizabeth II)
raised with a silver spoon up his backside and is pro-EU. This is why many predicted he was not just a stand in, but was in for a bigger purpose.

EU is about placing all the power in the hands of the ruling class...Duh!

A lot of counties have their own flag. What's your point? Don't have one? Didn't think so.

My point is you trying to imply I am smoking something which suggests you are trying to make my statement seem bizarre, even though there is truth to it.
