That depends, UKIP attracts Tory style voters. Those people who are conservative and right of centre in other words. There are plenty of other anti-EU people out there but they wouldn't UKIP because of its other policies and attitudes. Perhaps a coalition particularly with someone like the greens might attract other anti-EU support.

Would not be totally against forming a coalition with either - but have a lot of positives. A coalition with the Liberal Party would not really extend to much other than working together on a few councils in areas where the Liberal Party is successful - Liverpool, Peterborough, etc. The Greens however, with their representation through MEPs and seats in regional/national assemblies could be viable though.

Yes.

And as no one has been polite enough to ask the Liberals and Greens themselves whether they want to cosy up to UKIP, the obseesion is fast becoming a joke.

It is not an obsession but a strategy for giving smaller parties a place in Local or Central Government. Doing this may give parties such as UKIP a larger supporter base as people realise we aren't a single issue party and that we are happy to work with other parties such as the Greens to improve things.
