I have reguarly visted the Thatcher Foundation website, it offers an excellent insight into modern political thinking, notably as regards ecnomics and the vital union reforms of the 1980s.

Yes - it is very impressive .

Obviously a great deal of work has gone into its construction and presentation.

It shows how far we have fell when Thatcher is now considered some sort of Right Wing hero.
In the 1970's she was on the Left of the party yet she didnt change the party just went further left than her.

Default Lady Thatcher's policies, stale dogma of socialism, europhilia, communism, atheism

The anti-British and anti-English leftists in our country do not like Lady Thatcher's policies because she did more to wipe the stale dogma of socialism and trade union militancy off the map (at home and abroad) than almost anyone else.

All efforts must be made to stamp out europhilia, socialism, communism, internationalism, atheist agitation, Christianophobia, nationalisation and 'global warming' tax-rising whenever and wherever examples of them appear.

Yet Thather wiped out none of these.
The Schools, Institutions and BBC remained in the hands of the Left.
Immigration continued.
Debt grew.
Our national economy was sold to foreigners.
Crime grew.
etc.
I could go on.
Thatcher was a coward and a failure.

It is true that the leftists remain in control of the europhile pro-liberal/left BBC, education and other areas too and you are right to point out that immigration (which I want stopped except in the most exceptional of cases) continues.

However, Lady Thatcher: opposed the EU Superstate now under construction; opposed the pro-Soviet (USSR) nuclear disarmers; opposed nationalisation; opposed the invasion of our Falkland islands; opposed cuts in the size of the UK military; opposed Scargill and other leftist union militants; opposed BBC bias; opposed the euro; opposed the communist USSR; opposed leftist republicanist terrorism in British Ulster; opposed marxists; opposed the UK being in debt (she cleared the debt the administration she led inherited from Labour); opposed devolution (which she warned would weaken the UK which it has)....

...to use your words "I could go on..."

Indeed and for that and much else, despite the fact I disagreed with her signing the anglo irish agrrement and the SEA I beleive this nation owes her a great debt.

Thatcher opposed nationalisation for ideological reasons not economic ones.
We sold our shares in BP and Brit Oil for example.
As for the national debt I understand it increased every year from 1978 onwards.

She was much like Dubya, just a puppet for forces behind the scenes. And she was not good, she simply replaced social democracy with neoliberal pro-big business, pro her rich friends policies. We didn't need her and she ain't no lady.

What we need in economics is not social democracy, not state socialism but not pro-corporate "laissez faire" capitalism either. We need policies that can libertarianly and decentralistly encourage the small property owner and get as many people owners of capital as possible.
