Please stop quoting people if you don't know what they were talking about - all this is is Crowley's way of saying "to thine own self be true".
"Love is the law, love under will".

You're absolutely correct, my only defence is that it is a simple error, probably as a result of thinking ahead of what I was typing.

However I think there’s more than simply a case of “to thy own self be true” involved knowing what I do about The Great Beast both from what I have read about the man, and also what I was told by Gerald Gardner who used to live directly across the road from where we had our home many years ago.

He was old, I was young, but “The Old Man” taught me a great deal.

Some nutter - I don't think it was you - posted some hilarious guff months ago about Gerald Gardner. Apparently he and a bunch of other loonies tried to fight the Nazis by holding a Black Sabbath in the middle of WW2.

By Gardner's own admission it wasn't very successful. Apparently the wizards emitted so much ectoplasm everybody except him died off from their efforts. Hitler had to be crushed by more conventional means.

The Nazis were also heavily into black magic. Maybe they outspooked Gardner's coven.

A few years ago I had an article about Crowley published in a Masonic magazine. Strangely, I was trying to find it only yesterday. Crowley was a dangerous lunatic and very possibly a murderer as well.

He was also a notorious liar.

Put me behind a machine gun!

Funnt because it's true.

Crowley was without doubt a revolting person.

Personally I think that he was deranged and had it not been that he had access to considerable sums of money and that being eccentric at the time was a socially acceptable thing he would have been committed. Certainly what he got up to with one woman in particular wrecked both her digestion and her health.

Gerald Gardner on the other hand was a nice guy. A little (?) strange granted but that was a characteristic that I suspect he cultivated in order to deliver what he thought was expected of him.

I’ve never had a lot of time for the occult thing.

I looked at it a bit as a teenager, got laid a couple of times by older women in strange circumstances (I think that had more to do with their predilection for well built young men than anything to do with worshiping the moon!)

I put one guy straight about which way I “swung” and left him in no doubt about it whatsoever, (and thereafter had no more problems of THAT sort) watched a bunch of middle aged people make pillocks of themselves, had some very odd mushrooms a couple of times, but that’s about all.

It’s wasn't for me.

Especially when he is also knowledgeable, caring and sensitive to their wants, needs, and satisfaction.

I always found that to get the best sex what was needed was to do your best to provide the best sex.

It always worked for me.
