Tory Party Gerrymanders MEP selection process

Well it seems that it isn`t just UKIP which is infuriating sections of his membership re its MEP selection processes .Take a look at conservativehome@mac.com The rank and file is very angry.

Basically Tory Party HQ put a raving europhile in charge -John Maples MP-he voted AGAINST a referendum on the Amending Treaty .The grassroots of the party was not allowed to have a free and fair election,no hustings ,no communications with members except by order of HQ ,all incumbents readopted by Regional committees,over complex voting forms etc etc.Maples also putting pressure on candidates who were keen on renegotiations with the EU.
The whole thing was worthy of Mugabe and co .

So UKIP and BNP now have a fairly open goal on the EU elections if only they try and stay clear of fiddling their own selection process they can say that they are democratic and anti EU ,the Tories cannot say either now.

Err.. yes I think we can agree that they are not paragons of virtue especially as far as the EU is concerned ,however they normally manage to be a little more
savvy than this .
I am delighted that they have come out in their true colours now ,there can be no more doubt amongst the grass-roots of the Tory Party -they have been "had"

.The whole Tory thing about having a referendum is ,as far as the top brass is
concerned ,just a useful way of getting in the votes and making them look democratic.
It is obvious that they would be no different from Labour once they were in .
