Not Marxism (though there's a lot worse even than that) but the Nanny State delivered by New Labour.

Nanny State is where they tell us what to do for our own good. This goes way beyond that. This is guilty until proven innocent - but only if you can afford to prove your innocence.

The nanny state is the police state. It is with out doubt the new fascist regime not the brutal one of the Third Reich but the more subtle one of the modern day.

It's a clever and contrived move to keep these matters a civil matter under environmental health as it stops anything as inconvenient as a jury over ridding the decision and thus becoming common law.

Take the smoking ban if the risks to others health our as irrefutable as we are fed they are then why is this not a criminal offense? The answer is because it's one big fat lie and if this was ever to go to court and a jury ever had to sit and listen to the evidence that was used to bring in the ban it would with out doubt be thrown out of court.

Labour cannot afford politically to keep raising taxes and this is nothing but a snide move to extract money from our pockets.
