Actually they are the only mainstream political parties whose policies will rescue the UK from its slide into a self-destruction that our children will painfully reap during their lifetimes. So come off your high horse. Yes, it is just a shame that the leadership are abit dodgy - but there is no excuse - other than cowardice - for not getting behind them anyway.

The truth is, returning to the opening post on the tread, that BNP [3%] with a much smaller membership and the unpleasant Nick Griffin as leader are more popular than UKIP [2%]. It seems very likely to me that this is because the BNP are prepared to get their hands dirty and tackle the problems that concern the voters - even if their approach is unappealing to the majority.

Interesting point M3. What is it about the BNP 'approach' that you believe the majority find 'unappealing'?

NG is generally viewed as racist which naturally impacts on the whole party.

That's right, there are far too many people who let left wing fascists dictate their thoughts and opinions. The BNP are the real rebels, everyone else are pathetic cowards.

This is what I mean. I don't want to seem picky here, but you use the term 'generally viewed' which implies that you don't know if it's true or not, namely that it's someone else's opinion.

You obviously have an opinion as to what it is about the BNP's approach that "...is unappealing to the majority".

I'm not looking for an argument here as I am genuinely interested in what you have to say about this. If, as you say, there is an aspect to our methods that could offend, I would like to know about it.

If you consider the turnout for the mini referenda and the numbers who would vote against the LT there is clearly an untapped source of votes [15% less have voted in the last two GE compared to post war average] BNP are nearer to these voters concerns than UKIP, but there must be something which puts the voters off voting BNP - I just surmised what it might be.

In my opinion the BNP is as near to dammit as the Nazi party were in Germany in that they presented what the hoi polloi wanted to hear in such a way that their real agenda was overlooked.

Again in my opinion and from what I have seen NG is the tip of a very unpleasant iceberg that many people who do look with favour on the BNP see as a thing they would rather was not present and do not see the substantial mass of similar and worse “ice” just below the surface.

There is much that is presented in large print from the BNP that resonates well with me but there’s a great deal more in tiny print that I find absolutely abhorrent.

They certainly show courage and that is what UKIP and EDP lack and try to act like all the other parties: "Don't be nasty to us big, tough establishment, we are liberals really." Tara said somewhere that the problem is with British men. Spot on! They have become weak and sentimental and deal with other ethnic groups like sentimental tarts. Its all surrender, guilt and apologies.

The BIG problem that Britain faces today has nothing to do with multi-ethnicity, and everything to do with multi-culturalism.
