You can condemn this kind of protest, but it certainly gets the medias attention.

Any coverage is good coverage in my opinion at this stage. The free papers here in London - the london lite and london paper had small snippets, which is great. The more people are aware the better. When people are prepared to scale cranes on the issue, sometimes that is what is needed to make people realise the importance of it.

I didn't see anything about this on London Tonight (the ITV 1 Television news programme for London which is broadcast at 6 pm each weekday) - nor on the ITV 1 national news which followed it.

You should have watched the BBC News at 6pm Britannist, it was covered extensively. Perhaps you should watch the BBC News at 10pm, I am sure they will cover it again.

Thank you for your suggestion, EA - and for the link to the report on the BBC news website.

I only read it at 10.20 pm and so only saw the BBC 1 10 pm news from that time onwards (I usually watch News at 10 on ITV 1). I didn't see any report about the crane demonstration on tonight's BBC 1 Television news - perhaps they had covered it before I put the BBC News on.

News at Ten did not mention the crane demonstration for an EU Treaty referendum during the time I had it on (10 pm to 10.20 pm).

I expect BBC News 24 Television will cover it - but their audience is only a fraction of that the BBC 1 Television 10 pm news gets.

Perhaps the national newspapers will cover it tomorrow morning.
