Default Leader of europhile Liberal 'Dems' again calls for EU vote - but not one on Treaty

Ex-MEP Clegg, the new leader of the europhile Liberal 'Democrats', has again called for an "in or out" referendum on the EU - clearly as a tactic to divert attention away from the disgraceful (but not surprising) fact that his party has broken its May 2005 General Election promise to hold a vote on the EU Constitution (now called the EU 'Amending' Treaty).

Half-Dutch and partly-Russian Clegg (who is married to a Spaniard and who used to work for the committed 'Conservative' europhile EU Commissioner Sir Leon Brittan in Brussels) knows full well that his pro-EU party has zero chance of winning a referendum on the Treaty but thinks that a high pressure "in our out of the EU" ultimatum-type referendum would be won because he and other europhiles think voters would believe their bogus claim that "3 million jobs would be lost if the UK quit the EU."

This is a non argument by the ghastly Europhile Lib Dems, they feel if people say yes we will stay in then effectively there should be no more argument on any other treaty we should just sign up to everything. Do they not understand that the whole argument since we went in has centered arround our realtionship within the Eu and that relatioship will always be a problamatic one.

Britians whole ecnomic outlook is diffrent to the rest of the EU, that lies at the heart of the problems surrounding our membership.

Do the Lib Dems really think if they could persuade people to stay in that all such future discussions would cease?

The answer is they dont, this is a cynical con to deflect attnetion away from the fact they too like Labour have ran away from giving the people a say on this treaty and I hope the electorate give them a huge kick in the ballet box for it!

Yes, we have both made this point before. Clegg (leader of the europhile Liberal 'Demcrats') fools no one on this. His party has broken its promise on giving us a vote on the EU Constitution (EU 'Amending' Treaty) and supporting instead (as he now does) a referendum on a different subject fools no one.

The more people who usually vote for the Liberal 'Democrat' party learn that that party wants to destroy our Pound and put us under EU Government, the less they will be likely to vote for them.
