Default European unity, regular contributors, anti-EU forum, EU, europhiles, "european ideal"

Exactly - if it is true it would be yet another example of "european unity" in action. As most regular contributors to this anti-EU forum will agree, all this talk from the EU and europhiles about "the european ideal" is utter nonsense. Many EU member nations loathe each other.

Clever that we found the French bugs (if the story is true) - I haven't heard of reports of any British bugs being found in foreign defence ministries.

Any department within the MoD should be routinely 'swept' for bugging devices. My own doubts lie in the fact that the 'Gentleman' whose office the 'bug' was found in has a very nice villa in the south of France...

Perhaps he didn't want to upset the locals there? Or do anything to impair his chance to race at Le Mans.

The question is who planted them? Ken Clarke? Keith Vaz?
