No way should he get another term which he apparently wants, he should be persuaded to retire some time this year to give his succesor a good run in before the next election.

Speaker Martin never had enough cross party support unlike his predeccesors so was at a disadvantage from day one, he could however have won people round had he been seen as a competant and even handed speaker. Regretably for him he has not achieved that and it is long past the time he went.
