Self-satisfied and obnoxious is redundant when you use the term EUphile.

And a bit pig-ignorant too.
Which "Ukip MPs" would these be?

Mr. Michael White writes, of course, for the pro-EU Guardian: the very newspaper which has its one of its main columnists the UKIP-hating Polly Toynbee. How funny it was to read Toynbee's articles as she became aware that UKIP were going to pull off a spectacular win at the 2004 EU Elections. And there was nothing she could do to stop it

I'm a fairly regular Guardian reader. (OK, so I'm a masochist). I can confirm that while the Grauniad is overwhelmingly Europhile, it has very occasionally published neutral or even quite positive stories about UKIP. I mean very occasionally. These stories have never, ever been by the Political Editor, Michael White, and I strongly suspect that they only ever appear when he is on holiday.
Judging by his published photo, Michael White bears a strong resemblance to Kaiser Wilhelm, and he seems to have similarly fixed and dogmatic views about the future of Europe. Incidentally, though the Guardian describes itself as a liberal paper, I'm not aware of it ever having published any story of any kind about the continuing Liberal Party, though I may be wrong. |

Do you pay for the Guardian? If you do, then I am afraid you are my enemy now.

Pay? No I always steal it. Usually I also overturn the news-stand and then stand there laughing evilly while the elderly news-vendor scrabbles in the gutter for small coins and copies of Vogue. I'm surprised he still speaks to me, in fact.
