It's not as if the party machine is professional. Watching BNP Wives two weeks ago, it featured the one of the family's household being the 'official' storage room for votes. The letters were strewn across the living-room and lying across the living room. The man in question, who happened to be Returning Officer, spoke just a few minutes before about his 'support and love for Griffin'. When questioned as to how a Returning Officer could have such a public view, he backtracked and said that 'all Returning Officers have views and express them'. The election was as bent as Griffin's past. |

Well actually less than half of the membership actually voted, and the contender was a Tyndallite hardliner - not the kind of person modernisers would vote for anyway. Griffin usually makes sure that he purges anyone with some talent and a clean past. It also seems like an extra 2000 members were gained in a very short time! but anyway, I myself urged a BNP member to vote for Griffin, which happened - most of the rebel faction were loyal supporters of Griffin until recently. I wish we had a clearer idea of just how many people are still loyal to him, but I suppose we'll have to wait until there's a new election - though of course I would expect that it would be fraught with fraud.

I understand the count was held at the premises of GWR studio. Hmmm?? have used the facility a couple of times and I'll be perfectly honest, I don't think I've ever come across a more unprofessional, insanitary (milk laboratory) half arsed, shambolic set up mascarading as a recording studio. The kit is good enough but what a hole, it wasn't quite egg boxes on the ceiling but if Mr. Hannam expects to attract professional musicians and acts then their introduction to the brave world of nationalist music will be sadly devoid of glamour or even the impression of basic solvency! It also seems (worryingly) to be a repository for printing and duplicating machinery? Such being the case it begs the question; was this a wise choice of venue in which to hold a count?
