Quite so.
I listened to one of the BBC Radio News bulletins this evening and one of the reports concerned the NASA Mars Mission: "On it's 5 billion kilometre journey"
Sky News: same subject "On it's 3 Billion mile journey"

Is it any surprise that James Whale and Richard Littlejohn-for example- are not given prime-time BBC Radio slots? Even Jeremy Vine is beginning to sound boring.

I do agree Brian. I don't agree with most of what George Galloway says on political matters but his programme is entertaining enough to listen to regularly. It's a great pity he is pro-EU although he doesn't talk about the subject very often. His main subject is obviously the Middle East.

Good of you to spot that Phil and to post it here. I'm quite all staff at the Brussels Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) have been told to avoid using Imperial measurements. With the EU recently claiming it won't be pressuring the UK anymore to go totally metric it seems to me that the BBC must be approached about this and a campaign started to get them to go back to Imperial measurement usage. I would particularly like to see weather forecasts on all channels (BBC and independent channels) use Fahrenheit and not this thing called 'Celsius' or 'centigrade'.

You make a valid point Phil.

The BBC, of course, advertise most of their job vacancies (apart from engineering jobs and a few others posts) in the Guardian, which, of course, is a leftist europhile newspaper.

This almost exclusive use (by the BBC) of one particular newspaper for much of its recruitment advertising really should be stopped. The BBC should make sure that its job vacancy advertisements appear in newspapers which do not just support Labour/Liberal Dims (as the Guardian does).
