Default Labour - mind on the left, pocket on the right.

I think there are many up at the top of the Labour Party who live in homes worth a million Pounds or more and who send their children to expensive schools.

Some of these Labour politicians may try to hide their wealth.

Labour - mind on the left, pocket on the right. A party of hypocrites.

One can't but fail but wonder if the people of Dundee (Galloway's home city) would elect an Englishman to represent one of the city's constituencies to speak up for a section of the population there in the way that Galloway is presently doing at Bethnal Green in London.

The fact is - there hasn't been an English-born MP sitting for a Scottish constituency since Dame Judith Hart (a Labour MP at Lanarkshire) died in the 1980's.

And, of course, we have a Scottish former far leftist by the name of 'Jim' Fitzpatrick not only as a London Labour MP (in the seat next to Galloway's) but as Minister for London. It would be interesting to see - in a reverse situation - if the people of a large Scottish city might not only elect an English MP but warm to the idea of him/her being their city's minister too.

Straw is unacceptable.
I would like to see the comments of Straw (made in his speech as on the link above given by Cassie) pulled apart by the English Democrats (ED) on their website (in which the Straw speech has been reproduced).

There are many things he says which can be refuted.

Every paragraph of Straw's daft speech (as on the ED website) should be followed by a rebuttal.

There is also no doubt that criticisms he is alleged to have made about England (please see link in this thread to a report on the BBC website) - if true - are further evidence that Labour is an anti-English party.

At one time, Jim Fitzpatrick was chairman of the London Labour Party, would you believe?

Can you imagine an English chairman of (say) the Edinburgh or Glasgow Labour Parties? Ask a Scot, I'll bet he'll laugh like a drain in response!

Default Labour, leader, English name, English constituency

Labour haven't picked a leader of their party who has an English family name and who represents an English constituency at the same time for over 40 years! The Late Lord (Harold) Wilson was the last one.

1976 Callaghan (Cardiff constituency)
1980 Foot (constituency in south Wales)
1983 Kinnock (welsh constituency)
1992 Smith (constituency near Glasgow)
1994 Blair (Scottish name constituency in Durham)
2007 Brown (constituency on the east coast of Scotland)

I support the Union of the UK but I want fair treatment for the people of and nation of England within the Union. And fair treatment for English people wherever they are in the UK.
