Kilroy probably couldn't give a toss.

That is a lot more than David Cameron manages and the same as Charles Kennedy.

Whilst I'm no fan of Kilroy-Silk, it hardly seems worth Chris Heaton-Harris' time to complain that Kilroy's attendance at European Parliament votes has fallen from 42.9% to 41.1% in the last year.

Imagine his outrage if it ever falls below magic 41.1%!

Default Mr. Heaton-Harris, Daventry, Kilroy, 'East' Midlands of England, EU 'Parliament'

Mr. Heaton-Harris has been selected as the Conservative candidate for Daventry so will almost certainly not fight the next EU Election. It is unlikely that Kilroy will stand in the 2009 EU Elections - apart from anything else he has no party to organise his campaign and canvass for him.

So both of them (representing the 'East' Midlands of England 'regional' constituency) are to leave frontline EU politics in the not-too-distant future.

My understanding is that Kilroy has been asking, and continues to ask, many questions in the EU 'Parliament'.

A good fair few questions there, thanks for the link.

I see the response to a series of questions asked on 2nd April.

"The Commission sees no point in the questions put by the Honourable Member and is therefore unable to reply to them."

I can't entirely disagree with the commission in their replies.

Subject: EU buys Friends of the Earth

How can the citizens of Member States trust the independence of organisations like Friends of the Earth when it is lobbying the EU, when the EU has given it a large financial grant?
Not even good grammar, let alone a decent question; more of a statement really.
Maybe worthy of a political forum, but not exactly parliamentary material.
